I graduated cum laude from Loyola School of Law in New Orleans in 1985. I was member of the Law Review in my second year, and my casenote was selected for publication. I was selected to be a managing editor in my senior year. I was a member of the National Moot Court team during my second year, and participated in the regional competition which was held in Nashville, Tennessee. During law school I was selected to be a research assistant to several professors, among other things helping teach students in the first year Legal Research and Writing Class. I also served as a VITA volunteer during my senior year.
After graduation I returned to teach as a Visiting Professor for one year, responsible for the Legal Research & Writing Class and the Moot Court Class. I continued teaching as an adjunct professor for several years and received the 1998 Gisevius Distinguished Alumni Award. I'm currently a member of the law school's Visiting Committee.
